Initial Consultation

Our initial consultation provides you with an opportunity to seek initial preliminary information and decide on the approach to your matter. Having all those initial questions answered will enable you to make an informed decision as to how you proceed with your matter.

The initial consultation is for a lawyer to assess your matter and guide you on the next steps (including whether a referral may be required).

We reserve the right to charge a fixed fee based on our hourly rate for our initial consultation. Such cost will be disclosed to you in advance of the initial consultation.

If you wish to proceed with your matter following your first no-obligation consultation we will at your request provide you with:

  • verbal and written information about the rates we charge for our work;

  • fee estimates and cost disclosure of the overall cost of your matter; and

  • what the next step will be if you engage APL.

Our lawyers can meet with you on an appointment only basis at your offices, at a convenient and mutually agreed place or undertake the consultation over the phone.
